Year 10 Trip to Paris
Back
Early on Friday 23rd May, I and many other Year 10 students kick-started our half term by taking the Eurostar to Paris, France! We arrived at the hotel mid-morning then made our way to the city centre and began our Paris adventure, venturing to the Louvre museum, in which we saw the Mona Lisa. This beautiful piece was accompanied by various other statues and beautifully preserved paintings.
During our four days, we came across many outstanding landmarks including the Eiffel Tower. We took lifts to the top, which had an amazing view. However, I don't recommend it if you're afraid of heights!
In Paris, we were blessed with the opportunity to try classic French cuisine. We were taken to a steakhouse, plus a bistro on the Champs-Elysees and also enjoyed sweet treats including crepes, mousse au chocolat and crème brulee. Miam miam!
During this trip I’ll always remember, we also visited the iconic Arc de Triomphe, Sacre-Coeur Basilica and Montmartre artists’ quarter, took a boat ride along the river, spent a day at Disney and did a guided tour of the Stade de France. It was lots of fun being in Paris with my friends and I hope to go back to explore more of this beautiful city in the future.
Merci beaucoup a Mme Brett, Mme Wright, M. Mulkis, M. Ralph et M. Wells.
