This week we had the privilege of formally inducting our Year 7 pupils into NBS through our 'Ceremony of Enrolment'. This significant celebration marked a crucial juncture in their educational journey, as they transition into the next phase of their learning and become treasured members of our school community.

The ceremony created a moving occasion that brought together pupils, families, carers, and staff to commemorate the start of this new educational chapter. It provided our Year 7 pupils with an opportunity to reflect on their place within the NBS family and embrace the mission and values that unite us as one school community.

A standout feature of the event was the ‘Ceremony of Light’, an inspiring and emblematic tradition that reminded our pupils of the brilliance they can contribute to our world. Each pupil lit a candle, symbolising their commitment to shine brightly and live out our school mission, to build a better world, through their daily actions and relationships with others. As the warm candlelight filled the hall, it demonstrated how every pupil has the potential to make a positive difference, both within our school walls and throughout the broader community.

An essential element of the ceremony centred on our Year 7 pupils recognising the NBS Pledges - a collection of commitments that each student embraces as they embark on their path with us. These pledges embody our fundamental principles of respect, resilience, and responsibility, providing a moral compass for how our pupils are encouraged to behave within our community. Through making these declarations, our new Year 7 pupils have demonstrated their readiness to champion the values that establish NBS as a sanctuary of education, development, and collective encouragement.

Welcome, Year 7 - we are delighted to have you among us, and we look forward to witnessing all the remarkable achievements that lie before you!
