GCSE Art Achievements
Back
A huge congratulations to our 2025/26 Year 11 GCSE Art students, who achieved fantastic results in this rigorous and demanding coursework-based subject.
We are delighted to now have a selection of their work on display in Art 1 and along the corridor outside the LIC, showcasing the creativity, skill and dedication of our students.
The artwork featured includes a selection of examination paintings created in response to the theme ‘Found’. Students worked on this project from January through to May, researching, developing and refining a wide range of ideas before producing their final pieces.
Their work explored everything from still-life compositions based on found objects, to memories of childhood, family photographs and memorabilia, as well as ideas inspired by their family backgrounds and heritage.
Students then had just ten hours over two days to transform their developed ideas into their final examination pieces – an impressive challenge that they approached with creativity, determination and skill.
We are incredibly proud of the hard work and commitment shown by our Year 11 artists. Well done to everyone involved!
